After much prayer and consideration, my husband and I have decided that "homeschooling" is best for our 3(almost 4) year old son. I have to admit that I am excited, but fearful at the same time. I have joined a "Homeschooling Moms" group and I have already planned his lessons and curriculum. I guess the fear comes from taking on such a huge responsibility.... his education. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 4 years old, it was my major in college, and I have always worked in this field. So, why is it any different teaching my own children? I guess it is because, I have so many hopes for them and their futures. Yes, I love all children and love teaching, but it is just different when it your own. I am looking forward to any advice or encouragement as I take on this new adventure.

You have made such a wonderful decision! We decided to homeschool before we had children. Our son is now completing K and will be in 1st grade January 3rd. We also have a daughter on the way. I love being able to give my son the best possible education and I love that my family is so close!
