UPDATE: Money Saving Challenge 2!

Well, for the past few months our electric bill has been through the roof! We are not doing anything different, but we are seeing a rise in our bill. So, I have heard many times, that unplugging any electrical device when you are not using it will cut down on costs. It seems that even when the power is not on, the device could still be pulling some electricity. My husband has initiated this money saving experiment.

Money Saving Challenge: Will unplugging electrical devices when they are not in use, lower our electric bill?

The bill has been somewhere in the area of $209 a month. Results soon to come....

UPDATE:

It worked!! This month our bill was $100. The first time in months that it wasn't in the $200 range. So, although it is a bit of a hassle it is so worth all of the unplugging and plugging everything back in. Money Saved: $100.
