Time 4 Learning Review

In September, I was allowed to review Time 4 Learning. I have always been very curious about this curriculum and have come across it many times throughout the homeschooling community. I was very excited to be offered the opportunity to review this curriculum for FREE in exchange for my honest review of the program. After months of lesson planning, I was very relieved to be able to sit back and allow Time 4 Learning to guide us. This year, I am homeschooling a 1st grader, 4th grader, and I have a toddler. I was looking for a program that would not only work as a complete curriculum, but would also keep their attention, and make learning fun. I had a few hiccups trying to get started with my free trial, but the technical support team was very helpful and worked in a timely fashion to get everything up and working.

Time 4 Learning is a website that offers math, language arts, science,  and social studies for Pre-K through 12th grade. This program can be used for a homeschool curriculum, after-school reinforcement, or for summer skill building. The program uses fun, interactive, multimedia activities that teach standards that align with the school system. This program is not completely online, however. Time 4 Learning also offers worksheets to reinforce skills that are taught online. So, kids are not just looking at the computer entirely, they also have a chance to reinforce their skills on paper. Although, it can be used as a complete homeschool curriculum, you still have the flexibility to supplement with this program as well. It is not a free program, but it is offered at a low monthly price. Time 4 Learning also makes planning and record keeping easy! Everything is recorded and planned out for you. With each lesson and quiz that your child completes, grades are recorded and easily accessible through the parent page. You can monitor grades, as well as go back to review skills that may not have been mastered. Time 4 Learning will show you through a color coded system each lesson that was passed or failed. This makes it easy for you to see your child's strengths and weaknesses. You can also tailor the program to your child's level. Whether they are above or needing to work below grade level, you can do this by simply adjusting the grade level your child needs.

I must admit that my kids and I loved this program! We were very sad to see our free trial come to an end, and will be continuing as paying customers in the future. I have never used a program that had my kids actually excited about doing work. They really enjoyed that they could earn time on the site's game room after completing their lessons. I loved not having to spend hours planning our lessons, but still having the confidence that they were learning the appropriate material for their grade levels. It also made keeping records for the year easy. Having them ask for more school time really made me happy! Time 4 Learning really took some of the work load off of me, leaving me more time to work on the things they needed more help with, and  allowing us more time for our electives. Here are the pros and cons that I found about Time 4 Learning for the 1st and 4th grade levels:
